VMworld 2015: Virtual Instruments is ready for any enterprise IT issue you face

By Sam Curcuruto, Product Marketing Manager –

As all of us at Virtual Instruments prepare pallets of swag, collateral and booth materials for shipment to Moscone Center in San Francisco for VMworld 2015, we’re excited for plenty of conversations with our customers and partners.

This year’s theme is “Ready for Any,” which fits perfectly with VirtualWisdom4’s direction and our professional services. VirtualWisdom4 is truly ready for anything, offering the answers you need to guarantee performance and availability of your infrastructure systems no matter the problems you face.

See what VirtualWisdom4.3 has to offer

VMworld 2015 comes hot on the heels of our release of VirtualWisdom4.3, where our theme was “Any hypervisor. Any interconnect. Any datastore.” We know that no environment uses only one vendor for everything. While we hold a special place in our hearts for VMware, where we began our journey into virtualization analytics in ESX/ESXi virtual environments, we’ve expanded our support to also include IBM and Microsoft hypervisors with our 4.3 updates. We also added new analytics capabilities to our platform to simplify issue resolution and proactively address any challenges that may arise in diverse infrastructures.

Stop by booth #2117 to meet and chat with the Virtual Instruments team and our executives, see some of the booth presentations from our awesome product marketing staff, and get a demo of VirtualWisdom4.3.

Trends we’ll be on top of at VMworld

Part of real performance management is eliminating needless IT spend through common poor practices like overprovisioning. At VMworld, we’re looking forward to participating in discussions about right-sizing IT environments. Virtualization and the cloud have made scaling up and down nearly instant, but cost optimization remains a top priority and building out an efficient, effective infrastructure that still performs optimally needs to be a carefully considered process.

Additionally, enterprise IT decision-makers have plenty of choices in terms of vendors. Trying to keep tabs on performance of those disparate technologies can be increasingly difficult with diverse sources producing data by the second. These trends aren’t slowing either, which makes a comprehensive platform for infrastructure performance management (IPM) something every IT department needs to think about.

Making some time for fun

We’ll also have a great prize for 60 of our visitors. Monday and Tuesday, 30 winners of our “Race to the Finish” scavenger hunt will be selected for a San Francisco RocketBoat ride Wednesday night. Scavenger hunt cards can be picked up at our booth. Stopping by our booth also comes with the chance to win a Fitbit Surge. We’ll hold raffles one hour before the show closes Sunday through Wednesday.

If you’re looking for a space to relax, head to the VI Performance Lounge in room 252 of the West Mezzanine (S. Moscone). We’ll have mobile device charging, massage chairs, refreshments, a racing game simulator, a photo booth and more.

It’s been a long, exciting summer at Virtual Instruments, and we can’t wait to show you everything we’ve been working on.
